Portfolio Checklist

Portfolio Instructions - Year 1 and Year 2

KEEP YOUR PORTFOLIO AND ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS AND COMMUNICATIONS at least until you have received your cleared credential.  This is proof of BTSA participation and completion.

Second Year Teachers:    Bring your Portfolio/Binder to Paula Willie in Ed Services no later than Weds. (4/17)  We would like to review all binders and be able to return them before the Colloquium.

  1. Review your portfolio/binder with your support provider to verify all items in years one and two of the Portfolio Checklist have been completed
  2. Prepare a presentation of your for the Colloquium.  This is your final assignment, and is to be a reflection of the learning experience provided by your research and completion of your Inquiry Project.
  3. Upon final review and acceptance of a completed Portfolio and Colloquium presentation, a letter will be sent to HR recommending you for a cleared credential.

First Year Teachers:    

  1. Review your portfolio/binder with your support provider.Verify all items in year one of the Portfolio checklist have been completed
  2. If you received a March 15th notice and/or are leaving the district, make sure you do the following to assure you will be able to complete BTSA in your new district
  • Review your Portfolio using the Portfolio Checklist with your Support Provider to  verify all year one documents and your inquiry are fully completed.
  • Have your Support Provider write a letter indicating you have completed all first year activities, documents, and reflections
  • Attach the letter to a copy of the Portfolio Checklist and send it to Norma Rodriguez in Educational Services
