Timesheet Payday Schedule

Salaried Employees - End of the Month Payday  ~ P-20 and P-65 Time-sheets

March 16 through April 15 will be paid on April 30

April 16 through May 15 will be paid on May 31

May 16 through June 15 will be paid on June 30

June 16 through June 30 will be paid on July 10th.  ALL time sheets for the 2014-15 fiscal year MUST be submitted by June 30.

 

Substitute/Contracted Employees - 10th of the Month Payday ~ P-15 and P-65 Time sheets

March 26 through April 25 will be paid on May 10

April 26 through May 25 will be paid on June 10

May 26 through June 15 will be paid on June 30

June 16 through June 30 will be paid on July 10.  ALL time sheets for the 2014-15 fiscal year MUST be submitted by June 30.

 

Please see your site secretary for submission deadlines.

Paychecks are available for pick up at the District Office Room 203 between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

If paychecks are not picked up, they will be mailed after 4 p.m. If you would like someone else to pick up your paycheck, a written authorization must be provided.

You can print / view paystubs from 2006 and W-2s from 2010 at http://ess.sccoe.org

Section 125

If you participated in the Section 125 plan for calendar year 2013, you MUST submit all receipts to American Fidelity by March 31, 2014.  These were for expenses that were made in calendar year 2013 (no extension, no exception).  See the link below for qualifying expenses.

Qualifying Event (Getting Married or Having Children)

You have 30 days from your marriage or birth/adoption of a child to add him/her onto your medical, dental, and/or vision plans.  Please be advised that if you are full-time employee, dental and vision premiums are paid by the District.  If you miss this 30 days, the next time you can add dependent(s) to your plan is either during Open Enrollment month of November or within 30 days of an unintentional loss of group coverage (ie: layoff).  If this event happens during the summer, you must contact our office, which is open Monday - Thursday.

BENEFITS Summer Share

When employees have medical, dental, and/or vision premium contributions, summer share is deducted.  This allows employees to take advantage of the pre-tax savings (if enrolled in the Section 125 plan) and the convenience of payroll deductions for their summer benefit contributions.

 

Certificated (10 month) employee example:

The employee's Family contribution each month is $1,072.

The amount needed for the June & July employee contribution is $1,072 x 2 months = $2,144.

$1,961.48 / 10 months (August through May) = $214.40/ month

From August through May, the employee will have $1,072 (monthly contribution) + $214.40 (summer share) deducted to cover their medical coverage.  Benefit contributions are NEVER deducted from deferred pay.  Deferred pay is when you elected to receive your 10 NET paychecks over a 12 month period.

 

Classified (9.5 month) employee example:

The employee's contribution each month is $1,072.

Since the employee is only paid 1/2 month in June, the employee may not have enough salary to cover their June benefit contribution.  Therefore, their summer share covers June, July, and August.

$1,072. x 3 months (June, July, August) = $3,216.

$3,216 / 9 months (Sept through May) = $357.33 / month

From September though May, the employee will have $1,072 (monthly contribution) + $357.33 (summer share) deducted to cover their medical coverage.  Benefit contributions are NEVER deducted from deferred pay.  Deferred pay is when you elected to receive your 10 NET paychecks over a 12 month period.

Save on Prescriptions

SAVE MONEY on your prescriptions!  Keenan, Pacific Educators, and Santa Clara County are offering FREE prescription drug cards.  This is especially valuable if you do not have insurance.  You cannot use this in conjunction with each other.  Kaiser does not accept this card, but there are many pharmacies in the bay area that does.
